Together, with the DFC retail sales, product marketing and brand teams, this role will be responsible for executing customer specific strategies, campaigns, coordinated product launches, marketing advertising and promotional tactics while staying in budget. The core activities of the Channel Manager will be measured by POS returns on campaigns, NPI, digital marketing activities, targeted advertising, timely delivery of marketing assets to both internal and external customers, successful partnership and collaboration with key retail accounts, and proactive communication to the extended DFC team.
Delta Faucet has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Channel Marketing Manager to join our Indianapolis Marketing team. This position works closely with major retail partners, and our account team to develop marketing plans which align sales goals and influence go-to-market strategies for each account.
Execute channel marketing programs with measurable critical metrics and drive profitable growth across platforms via creation and maintenance of assortment portfolio by customer while considering pricing guidelines and strategies to avoid marketplace disruption / channel conflict.
Understands business, brand, and customer priorities and uses the planning process to find common ground
Builds the annual channel management planning process relative to specific customer and area of responsibility
Fiscal responsibilities include the collection and summarization of business risks and opportunities, tracks and maintains appropriate cost center budget elements, and communicates issues
Be the balance of voice of the customer internally and voice of Delta to the customer
Understands and considers the customer’s priorities when driving strategic alignment
Line/Category Review Process
Collaborates with internal teams to build strategy
Recommends assortment mix to improve sales and profitability
Leads timelines and deliverables for all line/category reviews
In collaboration with account management team attends and presents at customer presentations
Act as the subject matter authority in category and across the channel
Knowledge of the product mix within all channels
Channel analytics and intelligence gathering
Compiles and analyzes market research, insights & analytics
Compiles profiles of competitors and channel customers using primary and secondary research and data
Promotional Planning & Pricing
Collaboration in the promotional planning process
Understands retailer margin and pricing expectations
Considers channel conflicts and promotional guardrails
Build tactics to support the promotional process
Analysis which calculates success of promotions
Merchandising & Marketing
Directs customer specific display, merchandising and POS strategy
Executes the product launch process
Build and execute in-aisle POP and off-shelf merchandising ensuring both customer requirements and brand guidelines
Execute packaging strategy and/or updates
Handle after-launch needs and maintenance in the aisle
Liaison to the Masco field team
Execute customer specific marketing to support product launches, promotions or other DFC initiatives
Collaborate with eBusiness counterparts to coordinate marketing initiatives
Influence and track the customer co-op marketing agreement
Coordinate event-marketing strategies such as executive store walks, customer specific events; etc.
Education & Experience:
Undergraduate degree in business or related field
Minimum 4-5 years professional experience
Experience in channel marketing, trade marketing or customer development with a consumer package goods, durable consumer goods or similar company and leading a major retail customer account
Experience in B2C environment with strategic marketing, downstream marketing including campaign development and execution, product launches, promotion, advertising, digital marketing, pricing, channel management
Strong background of consistent career progression and advancement
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals
Prioritize and resource projects optimally
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
Travel Required – 30-40%
