Job Description:

The Global Technical Educator (GTE) supports successful product launches by developing and implementing product and agronomic technical education resources created for customer-facing employees. Educational strategies developed will create a competitive commercial advantage by accelerating technology adoption and supporting priority product launches. Based upon experience and background, the GTE may develop technical assets supporting crop protection, seed trait or seed treatment product launches.

  • Be accountable for the global success of product technical education activities, both development and delivery, for assigned areas of expertise.

  • Work closely with commercial and research leaders to develop global learning assets that can be leveraged by Regional Technical Educators and other commercial and research leaders in a train-the-trainer model.

  • Will develop a strong network among global commercial and program leaders, assess learning needs and objectives, and support delivery of technology education assets and trainings.

  • Recommend technical education strategy (e.g., learning assets, prioritization, timeline, budget) to the Global Program Leadership teams based on global and regional needs and requirements.

  • Serve as ad-hoc Subject Matter Expert (SME) and member to multiple Global Program Teams, working closely with Global and Zonal Program Mangers, Portfolio Marketing Leaders, Marketing Managers, and Program Management networks, as necessary.

  • Develop and lead a collaborative technical education network within areas of expertise.

  • Build internal awareness of Global Technical Education tools, trainings, and learning assets.

  • Build relationships and partner with educational technology vendors to support learning asset development.

  • Consult with regional and local stakeholders on educational technologies, educational tools, and adult educational theory.

  • Report to the IFS (Integrated Field Sciences) - Global Technical Education Leader.



What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

  • An advanced degree, MS or PhD in an agricultural field of study (e.g. agronomy, pathology, entomology, weed science or related field); a BS with 10+ years of experience will also be considered.

  • Broad scientific and agronomic understanding with technical knowledge of assigned products and markets.

  • Advanced communication skills including technical writing and advanced use of MS PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in facilitation and training skills.

  • Fluency in English language a requirement; fluency in other languages is beneficial.

  • Ability to lead, facilitate and motivate a broad network of cross-functional experts.

  • Excellent project management, budget management and time management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and technical knowledge acumen.

  • General working knowledge of agriculture practices, Corteva products, markets and competitors


  • Deep understanding of customer needs and competitive offerings.

  • Commercial and customer-facing experience beneficial.

  • Mastery of or interest and willingness to learn educational technology and basic adult education theory.

  • Creativity and innovation leader.

  • Global grower and market knowledge
