Title: Buyer

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Duration: 12 months Overview

  • Will focus primarily on supplier purchase order reconciliation.

  • Work cooperatively with other department representatives and suppliers to resolve product discrepancies regarding quality, quantity, delivery, and price.


  • Monitor and manage supplier on-time delivery, with ability to problem-solve and countermeasure effectively.

  • Maintain Purchase Order status and tracking information while communicating to all internal stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.

  • Responsible for maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure quality standards and target pricing is consistently achieved.

  • Continually improve time management, problem solving, critical thinking, and follow up skills.

  • Ability to problem solve and reconcile invoice/PO discrepancies.

  • High level of focus on customer service for products and services within the Direct Material and Packaging categories with the ability to create Purchase Orders.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Buyer preferred.

  • Experience in purchasing direct product categories preferred.

  • Experience working with AP/AR Software preferred.

  • Oracle ERP software experience preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products to develop spreadsheets and create general reports

  • Detailed, accurate, analytical, and metric-driven.
