Kelly Services Analytical Chemist in Indianapolis, Indiana
Analytical Chemist
Long term contract role (12+ month) with good possibility for extension. Pay for this role will be in the range of $19 - $21/hr depending on background and experience.
The Analytical Chemist will provide analytical lab support for new product development. The analytical work includes sample preparation and quantitative analysis of complex biological matrices at trace residue levels. The role is lab based and will include a variety of analytical instrumentation and techniques.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct sample extractions, including SPE and liquid-liquid sample clean-up of agricultural matrices; soil, water, crops, etc
Conduct LC-MS/MS analysis of agricultural samples
Lab support for production analytical campaigns and high-throughput workflows
General maintenance of the laboratories
Routine instrument maintenance
Complies with all laboratory safety procedures, GLP Standards, and all other study-specific or pertinent regulatory agency requirements
Maintain neat and accurate records of all lab work
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of an AS degree in Chemistry or related field with 3+ years analytical laboratory experience, or 5+ years analytical laboratory experience
GLP, GMP or other GxP experience
SPE experience
Analytical instrumentation expertise; prefer LC and MS experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Quantitative LC-MS/MS analytical experience
Liquid Handler experience
Troubleshooting common UPLC and MS platforms
Broad knowledge of sample extraction and clean-up techniques
Quantitative extractions and sample clean-up experience in soil and water samples
Trace level analysis
Agriculture industry experience
Experience with terrestrial field dissipation studies
