Life Line Screening Infrastructure Engineer in Independence, Ohio
Life Line Screening is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT department. Life Line Screening screens over 750 thousand people annually. The backbone of IT must support all technology platforms to accomplish this with little to no downtime. Uptime is critical as we're directly dealing with the health of our participants. This role will support the internal infrastructure and ensure uptime for our field connectivity via cloud technologies. This role's responsibility includes evaluating, recommending, designing, implementing, and configuring complex technology solutions in a growing company. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial organization. Pushing for innovation and driving change is a must. With a large presence across the nation, the candidate must possess a strong background in decentralized operations and cloud infrastructure.
Perform daily system monitoring verifying the integrity and availability of all resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing network and application log files.
Perform regular security monitoring to identify possible intrusion attempts.
Perform complex LAN/WAN troubleshooting and patches per specified SLA's.
Support, upgrade and enhance clustering and network balancing technologies.
Support, upgrade and enhance cloud presence across on-prem, vColo, and MS Azure.
Support and enhance Azure presence
Support and enhance Office 365 presence
Support and enhance MS Intune
Continue to develop Life Line's technology platforms to utilize SCCM further.
Review the current infrastructure and propose changes to support uptime.
Manage complex technical projects with cross-functional team members.
Act as escalation to other members of the support services team.
Develop and implement business security strategies as it relates to data security and data integrity.
Support and enhance the current VMware infrastructure.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Research and recommend innovatively and, where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify strategies that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
Participate in technology evaluations, related projects, and make recommendations.
Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedure documentation.
Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
Maintain data center and monitoring equipment/environment.
Proactively monitor the production environment and related resource utilization.
Three to five years' hands-on experience in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Three to five years' hands-on experience managing and maintaining a virtualized client-server environment.
Prior experience administrating an Azure environment.
Competency in backup schemes and disaster recovery
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
Experience working in a regulated PCI/HIPAA environment is a plus.
