DefenseMinimum Education: High School Diploma/GEDWhat You'll Do:Work from engineering drawings, written work instructions and processspecifications, employee will assemble structural and precision mechanicalcomponents in a shop environment.Installation and torqueing of fasteners, drilling, installation ofrivets, adhesive bonding, measurement and shimming interfaces to closetolerancAssemble, disassemble, and precision cleaning of flight hardware.Tool fabrication from various materials such as aluminum, composites, andwood.Work with small shop power tools (saws, routers, sanders, and grinders).Instillation and removal of inserts such and Keenserts and Helicoils forhigher level assemblies.Assembly of builds including setup, bonding, and fastener applications.Operation of measuring devices such as calipers, height gages,micrometers, and torque wrenches.Packaging of completed production ordersWork at flow benches to assemble very precise Mechanisms.What You'll Need:Desire to learn or develop basic skills within the technician job scope andability to demonstrate learning agility to pass both written and hands-oncertification requirements.Ability to understand .and. read engineering and installation drawings.Possess an understanding and safe use of hand tools such as Torque Wrenches,Sharps, Hand Drills, Small presses, Pneumatic tools etc.Ability to use and understand calibrated hand tools and equipment such ascalipers, micrometers and gages in a production environment.Ability to perform bonding operations with various adhesive materials.Must be able to work flexible shifts, provide afterhours support, and workovertime as required.Ability to work in a clean environment that involves wearing smocks and glovesfor extended periods of time.Previous Assembly experience in quality regulated environment.Experience working to engineering drawings/schematics and manufacturing workinstructions.A.and.P License Ability to do light manual machining work for the creationof shop aids and tools to support build efforts is a plus.Experience with electrical harness assembly(splicing/soldering/crimping) in a quality controlled environment.*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, orgovernment contract.Education .and.
