Designs and develops software applications to complement and enhance commercially off the Shelf (COTS) as well as in-house developed applications to support the business.

Assists with improving existing programs by reviewing objectives and specification, evaluating proposed changes, recommending changes, and making modifications.

A point of escalation in the support troubleshooting process to solve problems with software at desktop and server level.

Add to this, daily support as well as other integrated projects that must be balanced between three (3) resources.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Designs and develops software applications to complement and enhance commercially off the Shelf (COTS) as well as in-house developed applications to support the business.

Serves as troubleshooter with third-party software applications and their developers to remedy identified problems.

Assists users with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Access and Excel.

Assists with improving existing programs by reviewing objectives and specification, evaluating proposed changes, recommending changes, and making modifications.

Instrumental in the migration process from test to production.

A point of escalation in the support troubleshooting process to solve problems with software at desktop and server level.

Requirements

Required Skills:

5+ years of development experience with C#

Candidate must be proficient with:

Visual Studio

.NET/MVC/Core

Azure DevOps

Entity Framework v5+

SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)

Scripting and development experience with SQL Server (MSSQL 2014+).

Familiarity with other scripting languages & frameworks (JavaScript, jQuery).

Collaborative, cross-group design and development.

Strong self-motivation.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Strong oral/written communication skills, especially in being able to communicate technical information with clarity and accuracy in a cross-team environment.

Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information in a fast-paced demanding work environment.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a concentration in Computer Science
