Firstrust Bank Loan Servicing Assistant Supervisor in Horsham, Pennsylvania

Oversee and ensure the timely, accurate completion of daily loan operations servicing tasks.. Support resource requirements and focus on product, system and service development including leveraging systems to achieve maximum efficiency. Ensures regulatory compliance and is responsible for analysis, solution-oriented recommendations. Have strong interpersonal skills in order to build and maintain good working relationships with Relationship Managers and other Loan Operations and Administration Managers and team members.

Provide assistance to unit staff members and customers including the research and answering of complex loan structure, system and compliance questions. Maintain current procedures with updates in Knowledge and offer suggestions to VP, Operations for process improvements. Participate in software upgrades including developing / performing test scenarios, analyzing / reviewing test results and approving process and procedure changes. Maintain good communications on processing and team performance with SVP, Operations.

  • Assist in the development of new business for Firstrust. Is alert to expressed customer/prospect needs to suggest appropriate services. Directs customers to the appropriate person to open account. Actively sells and promotes corporate products to potential and existing customers. Possesses knowledge of corporate products and services to suggest products.

  • Prioritize/oversee daily outstanding loan servicing maintenance and quality control work. Including Provide VP, Operations with regular status updates.

  • Oversee the activity of 1-4 Family Mortgage sub servicer. Analyze and resolve discrepancies on various loan activity reports to ensure all data is correct and that all activity is recorded. Review monthly billing to track and record all financial transactions such as refunds, advances, and transfers ensuring bank balances are accurate and accounted for properly.

  • Oversee daily assigned production functions as required. This can include completing G/L reconcilements, various daily loan maintenance input, daily data input quality control review, collateral perfection / satisfactions, payment / adjustment processing, warehouse loan accounting, wire processing and other specialized lending activity.

  • Sample and compute investor remittances for accuracy and timely remittance in accordance with all investor guidelines and procedures. Research and respond to investor inquiries. Prepares and deliver various monthly reports as required.

  • Collaborate with other loan units to ensure proper boarding and review of records. Provide technical support and insight to ensure best use of technology with meeting business goals.

  • Ensure timely completion and response to customer inquiries, which could be in the form of a phone call, e-mail or formal letter.

  • Responsible to perform monthly Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems (MERS) reconciliation between MERS and the banks Sub servicer. In addition, provide MERS with the required information for their biannual audit review.

  • Advanced knowledge of all systems capabilities with a focus on future development. Work closely with staff to establish and implement effective procedures and controls.

  • Stay current on applicable regulatory and Uniform Commercial Code regulations. Assist with related training. Ensure that standard operating procedures are developed and maintained and are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, bank policies and sound banking practices.

  • Assist with developing and conducting internal audit / quality control reviews. Review areas include G/L and system reconcilements, loan data integrity, and adherence to audit controls; collateral processing and exception follow up.

  • Conduct / coordinate cross training with staff members to ensure all members understand and adhere to defined procedures.

  • Assist other unit managers with system upgrades and other special projects, including but not limited to, test scripts and recommended enhancement requests. Ensure maximization of system functionality.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by VP Loan Operations

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee may be required to ascend/descend stairs and work atop a small ladder to store and retrieve files. The employee will need to position self to lift up to 20 pounds of materials for file maintenance. The worker sits most of the time, however, some amount of mobility is necessary to accomplish tasks. The ability to communicate and exchange information verbally and written is required. The incumbent will operate a computer terminal and phone with repetitive motion, while analyzing or preparing data. Temperature changes may occur during the workday in the office setting.

  • 4 year college degree in a business or accounting degree preferred

  • 3 - 5 year experience in an Residential Mortgage, Consumer, Construction, ABL or Commercial loan operations position

  • Managerial experience is required.

  • Possess extensive loan structure, servicing and regulatory knowledge of Residential Mortgage Lending and Servicing, SBA, Construction, Consumer and ABL loan products

  • Possess strong work habits, attention to detail and ability to work on a team

  • Possess a demonstrated commitment to quality service

  • Knowledgeable with MS Word and MS Excel. Experience with entire MS Office Suite helpful.

  • Ability to multi-task with an excellent degree of versatility and flexibility
