A well respected healthcare company is in need of a junior Compliance Attorney for a temporary role expected to run until the end of 2021 (an extension is possible).
Work will be remote to start but in-office work is preferred when COVID settles down.

Job is responsible for the review of compliance matters affecting the company in the United States and its international affiliates.
Review RFP international sanction compliance language for compliance with contract provisions;
Conduct sanction screening of potential international and domestic business partners and vendors;
Determine if potential high risk matches found during sanction screening process are true matches or false positives;
Perform and manage enhanced due diligence on international vendors and business partners to identify potential corruption risks;
Verify information contained in completed enhanced due diligence questionnaires;
Conduct media searches on potential international vendors and business partners to identify potential corruption risks;
Manage recordkeeping of enhanced due diligence activities;
Maintain spreadsheet of all international compliance activities for reporting purposes;
Interface with corporate sourcing and procurement, regional compliance officers and business legal counsel as required in connection with due diligence activities.
Conduct legal research on sanction laws and requirements.
A JD is required. A valid license is preferred but not required.
At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
Demonstrated capability in sanction screening, third party enhanced due diligence and export controls.
Must be able to establish good interpersonal relationships with internal business groups and demonstrate willingness to work in and contribute to a team environment.
