PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:The Intern position is designed for student workers who are still completing their education. The internship program is designed to provide practical work experience as well as exposure to our business environment. Intern positions are of limited duration and are designed to provide daily oversight with emphasis on training and development of the student.DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:The Application Development division develops, implements, and supports information technology solutions that are either internally developed or purchased from a third party vendor.i These applications and systems provide solutions to corporate data processing and information needs. The incumbent manages the efforts of direct reports, providing analysis and project management direction, and reviews the applications and systems developed to ensure they meet requirements of the organization.i The incumbent works closely with managers and associates throughout the corporation in order to facilitate understanding of their information system needs.iiSUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:Status as a college student or recent college graduate of an educational institution.i i i Experience working with various Microsoft Office programs.i i i Experience interpreting and communicating information orally and written.i i i Experience researching and analyzing data.i i i Experience working independently as well as in a team environment.i i i Experience identifying and solving problems.i i i Must have a 3.0 GPA or consistent work/extracurricular activities if lower.i i i Experience with highly confidential information and logical thinking preferred.i i i Pursuit of a degree in Computer Science or Mathematics preferred.i i i Completion of at least one Computer Science class where software development/programming was part of coursework.i i i Basic knowledge of computer programming preferred (Ex: Net, Java, OOP Concepts- Object Oriented Programming, Control Flow, and Data Structures).i i i Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries preferred.i i
