In this role, you have the opportunity to

Join one of our key growth areas of Kitchen Appliance Operations Team (O2F), while advancing your career in a dynamic, fast paced and multinational environment of Philips Hong Kong.

You are responsible for

  • Builds and maintains the project organization for MLD projects and MLD changes, determining the ways of working and defining key interfaces (incl. suppliers)

  • Formulates and is accountable for the overall MLD program/project plan, in consultation with RD and O2F management and other parties (Marketing, Procurement, Quality)

  • Defines projects and their goals, organizes the resources to be used (time, budget and information) and specifies quality standards

  • Defines the risk of the project/program and develops scenarios to mitigate these risks

  • Ensures proper execution vs the project/program plan

  • Deploys PEPF processes, Process Improvement and Quality Assurance and makes the project organization efficient and transparent, in line with departmental and project processes

  • Provides management and stakeholders with regular project/program performance status, variances to plan and identification of corrective actions, reports on employees’ performance to the hierarchical superior of the employees for the purpose of appraisal and conducts evaluation at the end of the projects

  • Coordinates effective communication/change management strategies for projects/programs as appropriate

  • Ensures effective transfer/archiving of the project/program results and the associated intellectual capital

  • Keeps up-to-date with technical basics and new technology, in order to optimize the goals of each project and maximize the synergy between the projects

You are a part of

Key professional talent working for Philips Personal Health – Kitchen Appliances. You will report to Senior Manager Product Industrialization.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master or bachelor or equivalent level in a technical profession

  • Typically 10+ years of relevant working experience, including experience of owning/leading projects

  • Domain knowledge in Domestic Appliances products and industry

  • Strong customer mindset/business oriented with strong leadership skills

  • Excellent soft skills like people management, team management and communication

  • Motivates, directs, and integrates multiple functions and staff performing different tasks and with differing priorities and measures of success

  • Knowledge of project and program management methods and of estimation techniques (resources, time and risks)

  • Works with managers and stakeholders to develop the program/projects incl. budgets and necessary resources

  • Executes program and related projects to meet program and project targets

  • Anticipates and responds proactively to changes in domain and balances resource, schedule and financial factors

  • Manages costs within agreed program cost budget, provides influence on the funding of all projects and investments in program

  • Responsible for synergies between sub-projects

  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin
