AMITA Health Lead Medical Assistant - Family Practice in Hinsdale, Illinois

Great opportunity for an experienced MA or a current Lead MA. Must have a proven of training or and leading other employees.

General schedule for this position: POTENTIAL FOR MON OR TUES 12P – 8P; REMAINDER OF WEEK EITHER 8A – 4P OR 9A – 5P; ROTATION OF SATURDAY 8A – 1P, BUT SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE PRACTICE

This role is eligible for a $1500.00 sign-on bonus, provided you successfully complete all pre-employment requirements subject to the terms and conditions of the offer. Former associates of six months or less are not eligible.

What You Will Do

Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

  • Assist with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse.

  • Perform select clinical duties.

  • Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.

  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.

  • Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.

  • Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.

  • Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Medical Assistant preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Additional Preferences

Medical Assistant Diploma

Trained and/or experienced to do blood draws, vaccines, injections is a must!
