SFDO Professional Services is seeking an Engagement Manager (EM) whose primary responsibilities will be supporting pre-Sales activities and performing Engagement Management functions for a portfolio of Professional Services projects. This is a hybrid role in which the job duties span both pre-Sales and post-Sales activities. It demands deep technical expertise, strong soft skills, leadership presence, knowledge of the Nonprofit and Higher Education industries, and the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Support
The EM will work with CSG Account Partners (services sales) and Account Teams (product sales) to define, scope, propose, and close SFDO Professional Services opportunities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Driving strategic alignment with the customer
Understanding customer business requirements
Defining desired business outcomes
Assessing feasibility
Leading discovery
Gathering requirements
Identifying customer support and training needs
Assessing skills requirements for staffing and successful delivery
Scoping work packages
Coordinating technical and other internal resources
Estimating delivery hours
Supporting sales presentations
Writing SOWs
Communicating with customer executives and technical personnel
Contributing to Sales-to-Services handoffs
The EM will assure that all the elements of the Sales process, contractual documents, and handoff to Professional Services promote successful customer engagements.
Engagement Management
The EM will manage a portfolio of Professional Services projects and be accountable for their success. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Establishing a trusted relationship with customer leadership
Overseeing delivery to ensure on-track projects
Overseeing project-related data to ensure accurate internal and external reporting
Participating in customer Executive Steering Committee meetings
Managing project escalations
Reporting to CSG leadership on project status and key risks
Identifying strategic opportunities for future Customer growth
Collaborating with internal teams such as Sales, Customer Success, and Industry Solutions to address Customer feedback and pursue strategic opportunities
Position Requirements
This position requires demonstrated success in the following areas:
7+ years delivering professional services
Business development in technology consulting services
Enterprise-level digital transformation
Expertise on the Salesforce Platform
Nonprofit and/or Higher Education industry knowledge
Technical writing for contracts, specifications, or functional documentation
Project scoping and requirements gathering
Cross-functional and cross-departmental collaboration
Management of multiple, concurrent, deadline-driven work streams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Consultative work style
Executive presence

Salesforce Administrator
Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant
Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant
The following Salesforce.com certifications are preferred:
