What will you do?

  • Prepares rooms that will be used for and manufacturing (PCA and Ekato Rooms). Performs the necessary checks on equipment for operational readiness.

  • Manufacturing of newly introduced products, complex medicines containing DEA compounds, and both simple and complex potent and hormone compounds. Serves as the primary contact for all potent and hormone related medicine manufacturing issues.

  • Reads and understands the batch paperwork, and makes suggestions to the Supervisor/Manager, Project Manager, or Formulations Scientist, as necessary.

  • Oversee training of Medicine Associates 1 and 2 and can perform all duties detailed in the job description for Medicine Associates 1 and 2. Support technicians are required to work overtime and maintain flexibility in their schedules as required to support manufacturing.

  • Works closely with Cleaning and Process Validation Department as needed. Disassembles and cleans equipment and rooms following the most current cleaning procedures and assist with the swabbing for cleaning verification purposes in support of Validation

  • Ensures the correct gelatin and medicine are brought into the staging area.

  • Monitors gel tanks. Checks for temperature readings, checks gel age, ensures tanks are staged about the proper corresponding machine, ensures each tank has calibrated thermometer in tank lid, reviews mixing time and viscosity.

  • Records all readings and Prints GMR Reports (Temperature).

  • Performs mixing as required, using either mechanical mixer or hand paddle. Observes mixing and purge instructions in "Special Instructions" on Batch Production Record. Records activities.
