Spectrum Health Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - Family Medicine - Hesperia- Experience Needed in HESPERIA, Michigan

Position SummarySpectrum#160;Health is seeking an#160;experienced#160;Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner#160;to work in a#160;Family Medicine practice#160;in Hesperia, MI. Working alongside an APP, you will see same day acute visits, have the opportunity to do minor procedures, and will work with an established patient panel for chronic disease management, well childatient physicals, and much more! This location is staffed by APP's- no physician is directly onsite.#160; Qualified applicants must#160;have demonstrated#160;experience in a similar setting as an APP#160;and have a passion for rural health. New graduate APP#8217;s cannot be considered for this role.Hesperia, MI is a 15-minute drive from Fremont, 35-minute drive from Muskegon, and 65-minutes from Grand Rapids. Basic Qualifications: Education - Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master#8217;s, post-master#8217;s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission Experience - 3 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in current, relevant clinical experience Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role Licenses - Registered Nurse (RN)* All Nurse Practitioner #8211; Licensed (NP)* All Basic Life Support (BLS) Note used for BLS,CPR BCLS) All Basic Life Support (BLS) Specific to SHMG 90 Days Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Specific to SHMG ACLS if required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) All, except Neonatal Services, Peds Trauma and Hospice Completion of advanced wound care course All, except Neonatal Services 1 Year Certification in wound care management (as appropriate for patient population) All, except Neonatal Services and Hospice 1 1/2 Yrs Completes credentialing and privileging process upon hire and undergoes reprivileging every 24 months or as determined by policy.
