Manager Visual Excellence, Europe (f/m/d) - Training, Sportswear & Women - temp till 09/2022

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • Create visual merchandising directives in alignment with VM training function, as well as trainings and compliance programs ensuring global consistency at the point of sale.

  • Manage training, communication & best practice processes into the marketplace to ensure global consistency and excellence in execution at the point of sale.

  • Promote visual merchandising as a profit center contributor.

  • Manage strategic projects of Coaches (if assigned)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the relevant teams to create clear requirements and align briefs whilst ensuring continued alignment to global visual merchandising objectives and positioning:

  • Develop guidelines, training programs in alignment with the VMM concepts/projects and tools for markets to implement the concepts.

  • Support roll out of new category tools

  • Build strong relationships with external agencies to influence the visual presentation in line with the brand direction for all channels

  • Improve processes:

  • Monitor other Retail industry (brick and mortar and digital) for best practices that can be adapted for adidas.

  • Contribute in driving for industry leading innovations in cooperation with Director VM & Coaches Europe at both the consumer level and the implementation practices.

  • Create a consistent approach in all channels

  • Act as a support partner during the seasonal sell-in process

  • Manage Resources:

  • Manage project budgets (as assigned).

  • Coordinate between department tactics and operational objectives.

  • Manage Projects within VM and Coach team

  • Additional assignments or special projects as assigned or agreed.

  • Act as an adidas/Reebok brand ambassador

  • Take over people responsibilities (if applicable)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Work independently and collaboratively.

  • Fully qualified and experienced in retail Visual Merchandising, combining theoretical with practical experience.

  • Strong organisation skills and flexibility.

  • Specialist in technical skills.

  • Proven track record in project management.

  • English fluent: verbal, written & spoken. Another European language is an advantage.

  • IT: Microsoft Office advanced. iShopShape is an advantage.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Business or Marketing Degree.

  • 4-6 years’ experience in retail visual merchandising including fashion retailing.

  • 1+ years working with Global markets or 1+ years working in a top tier adidas market.

  • 1+ year’s management experience.
