The Boeing Company Lead RF (Radio Frequency) Engineer in Heath, Ohio
The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Lead Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to join the Boeing Guidance Repair Center (BGRC) team, to support the Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) team in Heath, OH . The EWS portfolio includes repair and new build activities on various Electronic Support Measures (ESM) subsystems that support different Navy platforms.
Participate in troubleshooting field return RF assemblies, resolving test failures, generating repair plans and supporting final tests / date review
Participate research of technical, manufacturing, operational and quality issues, and designs interim and final engineering solutions
Assist Design Engineering team in design trade studies, obsolescence upgrades, failure analyses and other design related activities
Participates in Material Review engineering and root cause analysis
Develops and implements product / process improvements
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. ( An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.)
Basic Qualifications ( Required Skills / Experience ):
Bachelors of Science degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
9+ years of experience in an engineering discipline (or Master's with 7+ years or PhD with 4+ years)
3 or more years of experience working in the microwave / RF field
Preferred Qualifications ( Desired Skills / Experience ):
Experience with RF propagation principles, RF engineering tools and antenna theory
Experience with antenna range and anechoic chamber test operations
Experience with systems engineering design practices
Advanced computer skills
Dependable, innovative, and problem-solving skills
Possess interpersonal communication (written & verbal) skills in a team oriented environment
Self-motivated and ability to prioritize workloads while working in a fast-paced environment
Typical Education / Experience :
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
