Stellantis Software Organization (SWX) was established to build the most captivating experiences in the latest frontiers of Automotive Technology. As part of that foundation we are investing to rapidly grow our capabilities within the field of Automated Driving. We are seeking an experienced Process and Tools Engineering Supervisor to pull together the cross-functional team and direct reporting staff to develop/detail the processes that are necessary to enable the team to work in an aligned way towards achieving our goals.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a high-energy environment with multiple disciplines (SW, HW, HMI, QA, Validation, etc.) to create & deploy process solutions, evaluate processes and work products of development teams, and lead/support co-assessments to optimize internal procedures/workflows. The ideal candidate is one who has a well-developed, collaborative, problem solving work ethic, that enjoys making things happen.
Develop deep understanding of Stellantis development policies, procedures, concepts, practices, and tools
Supervise and collaborate with direct reporting staff, provide directional guidance and ensure the quality of associated work products
Based upon existing and visible incoming work efforts, effectively develop and maintain manpower planning that leads to/enables successful execution both productivity and time wise
Recruit and hire talented process engineers into Stellantis
Motivate and mentor a strong and cohesive engineering team to tackle technically challenging work sets at a pace above and beyond what they perceive to be possible
Direct report responsibilities include performance assessments, individual development plans, regular 1on1 and staff meetings, etc.
Accountable for individual and team deliverables:
Ensure deliverables are executed on time, on budget, at a quality level meeting Stellantis stakeholder expectations
Act as an enabler/road block remover for your team – not just a liaison for escalation
Provide the team with necessary tools, training coaching to enable empowered self-directed subject matter experts, and ensure the subject matter experts are able to present necessary data driven justifications when required
Work with cross functional leadership teams to develop and maintain process assets in-line with internal and Industry standards such as ASPICE, functional safety, etc.
Lead process working group
Facilitate recurring working group touchpoints with both internal and external teams
Create proposals for aligned process descriptions, process flows, work instruction, templates, guidelines, role descriptions and support ASPICE-relevant process areas
Define process objectives/KPIs- piloting/training of the defined processes
Performing gap analysis/consistency check against the quality objectives/KPIs
Assist working groups in the development of action plans to close identified gaps in process/consistency of delivery to objectives/KPIs
Maintain a timeline for and deliver status reports on the progress of the gap improvement plan (hold a weekly report out of the progress of each team towards closing the open points), including the items at risk.
Maintain associated documentation repositories (e.g. Confluence, WiKi, etc.) – enabling team wide access to all relevant process documentation
Participate in ASPICE audits/assessments
Report observations/problems clearly and concisely, recognizing and highlighting specific deviations and presenting possible solutions
Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Engineering, Computer Science from an ABET accredited program
Minimum of 8 years engineering experience in a related field including 3+ years of systems engineering experience
Experience in authoring system/component level requirements
Basic knowledge of the ASPICE framework
Basic knowledge of ISO 26262
Record of successful and measurable process/performance improvement initiatives
Proven ability to partner with systems and software development teams to advocate best practices, receive and give criticism in a constructive way
Experience with commonly used ALM tools within the automotive industry
Highly developed interpersonal/collaborative, communication and facilitation skills
Demonstrates ability to work independently, achieve deadlines, while exhibiting a high degree of proficiency
Ability to work in a fast-evolving environment with ambiguous requirements
Exceptional communication and facilitation skills with proven ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with executive management
Previous direct/indirect report supervisory experience
Project experience involving software deployment
Experience in project efforts utilizing an Agile software development model
Experience in conducting ASPICE assessments
Experience collaborating with IT professionals to develop tools to enable process automation
