Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a Network Engineer II-MPE to join our team based in Honolulu, Hawaii. This critical role will manage all areas of Army networks projects.The ideal candidate will support network engineering system requirements.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
Provide network engineering support for over 800 thin clients, the Video Communication Server (VCS)/VTCs for Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange (CENTRIX) Japan, Korea, and Five Eyes, which is an intelligence alliance comprising Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States, and the core infrastructure and install site for exercises in key locations each year.
The MPE team upgrades 10-15 locations’ core backbone to black core infrastructure and some to Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC), it and installs 48-96 sites with MPE-specific equipment (e.g., thin/zero clients, phones, printers, VTCs) per year.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience designing local, regional, WAN, and network systems and subsystems supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information
A minimum of three (3) years working with DoD IA policy and guidelines and applying their implications on network architecture design and configuration.
Position requires a current DoD 8570 IAT II certification
Position requires a current an active Computing Environment Commercial Certification, active CCNP or higher
Proficiency in developing, improving and establishing business processes and supporting tools
Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance is required.
Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship required.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required
