Thermo Fisher Scientific Core Account Analyst in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

How will you make an impact?

The Core Account Analyst will work directly with our Core Accounts Management team (Collaborative Demand Planners, Customer Relationship Excellence Team, and Core Account Managers) supporting forecasting processes, analyzing forecast/order data, and providing metrics and data analysis for reporting; ultimately supporting improved demand visibility and signals for recurring business with our customers.

What will you do?

  • Transform forecast data from customers and manage the upload into Thermo Fisher Scientific systems, including aligning customer forecast data with Thermo Fisher item numbers, quantity, and pricing

  • Consolidate and align lead times and pricing of all division products with customer forecasts

  • Ensure the opportunities are kept accurate and updated, including weekly review of past or missed opportunities

  • Manage and publish customer dashboard metrics with data analysis across all divisions and manufacturing sites

  • Collaborate across regions and functional teams to provide forecast/ order focused analytics that support critical business processes

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical technical and provide ongoing and ad-hoc reports

  • Streamline existing and introduce enhanced reporting and analysis solutions that leverage complex data sources derived from multiple internal systems

  • Develop and implement databases, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize organizational efficiency

  • Collaborating with system administrators and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and policies for data governance

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical or business field (finance, engineering, business management, data management, or similar) or equivalent work experience

  • Master's degree in an analytical or business field is preferred

Experience

  • At least three (3) years of experience in a sales analyst, finance analyst, business intelligence, or other analytics role focused on gathering, reporting and interpreting key operational or financial performance indicators, ideally for life science products and services

  • Must have three (3) years of experience with ERP systems, data warehouses, and business intelligence tools (Cognos, Power BI, etc)

  • Ability to work effectively across multiple facilities and reporting lines.

  • Technical expertise with data models, database design, data mining and segmentation techniques.

  • Preferred, three (3) years of experience with a CRM system (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Exceptional communication and project management skills, along with a track record of building alignment across multi-functional teams.
