Key success indicators for this position are achieving Tax and operational objectives by managing and communicating key tax information/implications. Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting and dotted line reporting to the Senior Director Global Tax this role will be responsible for:Key Responsibilities:Prepare quarterly and annual US Income tax provision calculations and assist in the quarterly reviews and annual audit undertaken by the companys independent audit firmCoordination and review of US Income and Franchise Tax Filings and estimated tax paymentsLead contact for 3rd party tax advisors responsible for communication, coordination, and accountabilityDevelop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxesPlan for and develop overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with the teamMaintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax processPerform quarterly and annual US Income Tax special credit workManage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, defense strategies etc.Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to leadership and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislationManagement of sales use and indirect tax professionalSupport the North America Accounting department as neededAnnual completion of tax related IFRS to US GAAP conversion for stat reportingQualificationsKnowledge and Experience:We are looking for a candidate with 5 years of experience in a similar tax manager or public accountant role and at least 2 years of experience in a corporate management role. Preferred candidates have a current CPA license and a masters degree in an accounting discipline.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar fieldExtensive corporate tax knowledgerobust understanding of sales, use and other indirect taxStrong accounting, analytical, and research skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporationsFamiliarity with U.S. federal, state and local reporting requirementsStrong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvementsEqual Opportunity Employerndash;minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identityPlease see job description for required skills.
