Summary:Performs custodial work in resident areas of the Glencliff Home.Responsibilities:Cleans and sanitizes resident, and occasionally non-resident, areas of the facility. This includes moving furniture in order to thoroughly clean. Maintains all floors, both tiled and carpeted, buffs and refinishes or shampoos as necessary. Operates machinery.Removes all contaminated and non-contaminated waste from buildings and disposes of in a pre-described manner.Cleans and maintains all equipment used. Reports defective equipment to supervisor. Cleans small ventilation systems to free from pollutants, which might cause respiratory or safety problems. Cleans and organizes supply, storage and equipment areas for efficiency and safety reasons. Stocks buildings with paper goods, cleaning supplies, soap, etc. Changes light bulbs and reports maintenance concerns. Maintains outside of buildings within 10 feet of all entrances/exits by picking up debris and sweeping steps and entranceways.Minimum Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency credential. Experience: One year of experience in the cleaning and maintaining of a health facility or other public institution, with some experience as a lead worker or as a supervisor.
