Reports to the Sr. Director of Provider Relations and is responsible for developing and maintaining a cooperative relationship and an excellent rapport with all network providers (including primary and specialty care providers) across all JHHC's lines of business, acts as a liaison between the network providers and JHHC, monitoring network providers to ensure network access standards are met, promoting JHHC's strategic initiatives and proving extensive training for all Johns Hopkins Health Care (JHHC) lines of business to ensure that network providers have updated policy and procedure information. Will attend and participate in Regional Care Team Meetings as needed. Will assist with implementation of Regional Care Team Strategies that support the goals of the Triple AIM.

Bachelor's degree in business management or healthcare administration or related discipline preferred.

Requires a minimum of two to three years prior experience in healthcare delivery program or insurance setting, Provider Relations, a physician's office, group practice, healthcare sales,.

Experience should include: Provider Relations functions, managed care/provider contracting, knowledge of managed care concepts and information systems.

  • Requires a sound knowledge of successful servicing, training, relationship building, negotiation techniques and an awareness of healthcare contracting terms.

  • Familiarity and knowledge of managed care concepts beneficial.

  • Requires strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with diverse groups of physicians, office staff, and business-related associates.

  • Requires strong ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and assigned tasks.

  • Requires strong analytical skills.

  • Requires strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Requires basic computer skills and familiarity with various software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, etc.).
