NASM is hiring a Content Developer in our Gilbert, AZ office. This is a full-time position reporting to the Content Development and Production Manager. The Content Developer builds assets for print, digital, and e-learning focused products to support the overall product strategy. Additional functions in learning technology, editing, and quality assurance integration are required.

The role will work on multiple and simultaneous development projects in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.?This role works closely with content management, instructional design, and project management personnel within the product team.

Responsibilities:

n

? Builds course assets including but not limited to test items, study guides, lecture and graphics storyboards, interactivities, content, forms and templates.

n

? Content authoring and editing as needed (under supervision of Instructional Designers and/or Content Development and Production Managers).

n

? Content and asset formatting as required by project; examples include page layout and document design, conversion of Microsoft Word documents to PDF file format.

n

? Asset organization including maintaining element logs and digital repository management.

n

? Re-voice content for versions across NASM/AFAA channels (professional, United Kingdom, academic, international, consumer, health club).

n

? Coordinate tasks with internal/external subject matter experts as needed.

n

? Work with content team to edit and QA content continuously during projects to ensure content efficacy, accuracy, and quality.

n

? Identify gaps, errors, and potential risks early to avoid product launch delays.

n

? Completion of all assigned work within prescribed timelines and project milestones.

? Develop and maintain all necessary software proficiencies including but not limited to Moodle, course builder/delivery platform, limelight, 3Play, Alfresco, interactivity authoring tools, Tempus.

Job Specifications:

n

? Bachelor's degree or professional certificate in a relevant field (exercise science or learning field preferred)

n

? Knowledge of NASM content including the Optimum Performance Training? (OPT) Model and exercise programming methodologies preferred

n

? Previous experience working in learning management systems, including back-end functionality

n

? Previous experience performing content development-related work preferred

n

? Proficiency building content that is supported within an online learning environment is preferred

? Experience with learning management software such as Moodle preferred
