MarketSource, Inc. is currently seeking a Business Development Rep (BDR) to represent our client, an industry leading provider of a broad range of management development and educational services to individuals and organizations. This client provides individuals and organizations worldwide with the knowledge, skills, and tools to achieve performance excellence, adapt to changing realities, and prosper in a complex and competitive world.

The Sales Development Rep (SDR) will be responsible for generating interest in, and prequalifying sales opportunities with businesses and their associated employees interested in enhancing their leadership skills and acquiring a variety of industry certifications. This role will be accountable for leveraging an outbound, omni-channel approach to reach ideal customer personas with business development efforts to pre-qualify sales opportunities.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct outbound calls, emails, and social media interactions to business prospects for the purpose of supporting business development efforts to pre-qualify sales opportunities

  • Collaborate with the extended sales team to effectively transition pre-qualified sales opportunities

  • Drive awareness of the client\u0027s products and services

  • Consistently attain or exceed daily, weekly and monthly target objectives (productivity, conversion, and revenue metrics)

  • Perform outbound omnichannel approach of calling, emailing and social media engagement to qualify prospects and generate new leads

  • Follow up on qualified prospects registering and attending client events, to further qualify and adequately transition to the extended sales team

  • Conduct “pre-call” investigative discovery to increase chances for success

  • Cold call target prospects to effectively communicate the client’s solutions and related value proposition to solicit interest

  • Maintain and report on all leads and related activities via a CRM application

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • BS/BA Degree is not required, but a degree in a related field is strongly preferred

  • 2+ total years of business development or sales is required

  • Experience in having business conversations with corporate leaders is required

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:

  • Strong personality, problem solving skills, and responsiveness

  • Professional communication skils

  • Energetic, positive, and outgoing attitude

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM is a plus

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing and moving items.

  • Performs additional job duties as assigned.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds independently.
