Job Description:
This position is open to students who are eligible to work on campus and must maintain a 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.
Student Employees within Graduate & Family Housing must:
Be a current University of Florida student in good standing with at least a 2.0+GPA
Possess exceptional customer service skills
Demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn in a team-oriented environment
Demonstrate a strong work ethic by being dependable, productive, and display a high level of professionalism
Act as an ambassador for Housing and Residence Life as well as the University of Florida providing accurate information and campus resources
Position specific responsibilities:
Responsible for providing customer service to current residential students, prospective UF students, families, and departmental employees in different residential facilities
Responsible for answering incoming phone calls and emails and assisting guests in the residential area office resolving any questions or concerns
Assist with various administrative functions such as recording meter readings and completing daily tasks
Submit iService requests for Building Services and Maintenance requests
Maintain and update area desk records and materials keeping resident information updated
Organize and maintain office space, storage spaces and common areas
Assist with providing temporary residential and mailbox keys for residents
Maintain knowledge and awareness of safety systems, fire alarm procedures, violence protocols, and other emergency action procedures; complete incident reports as needed.
Maintain effective communication with supervisor and other Housing & Residence Life team members to ensure a smooth transfer of duties and information
Ability to commit to working 10 hours or more per week

Advertised Salary:
$8.65/hour
Minimum Requirements:
This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

Successful candidates will have a minimum one semesterexperience at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
