The Opportunity

This opportunity as a Security Specialist Technician in the Ft. Hunter Ligget, California area is perfect for an experienced technician! This individual will serve as a field representative to install, test, repair, and maintain low voltage security systems at Camp Roberts, the National Guard post in central California. The work schedule is 5 days per week with occasional overtime.

The Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance, service and repairs for various systems basewide as directed

  • Serves as the face of EFS to our customers onsite by providing top-notch service and product training

  • Collaborates with in-house EFS teams to improve installations

  • Ensures safety through compliance with relevant State and Federal regulations

  • Handles service order and project administration

The Necessities

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Electronic security or electrical background

  • Great customer service skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • A positive attitude

  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (drug, background, and driving history)

  • Effective when working solo and as part of a team

  • Valid driver?s license

  • Five years of similar work experience (installations on job sites, safety adherence)

  • Some travel between area bases

Great to Have

  • Relevant factory certifications and knowledge are always a plus. Great examples include:

  • Access Control/IDS

  • CCTV

  • Monaco, Silent Knight, EST, Notifier - Fire alarm

  • Prior experience working on government contracts or military bases

  • OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR

  • Fall Protection

  • Confined space training

  • Journeyman Electrical License
