Description
Robert Half Finance has a career-building opportunity for a Staff Accountant with experience and skill to join a renowned distribution company on a full-time basis. As a Staff Accountant, you will be in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Lend your skills towards developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This intricate position is involved in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Frisco, Texas area, at a company where effort is rewarded.
Your responsibilities
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

Requirements
BA/BS in Accounting
CPA candidate is a plus
Intermediate Excel skills required
Large ERP experience is a plus
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
