Community Medical Centers of Fresno, CA Registered Nurse (RN) Manager, Patient Flow Command Center in Fresno, California

Community Medical Centers has been providing central California with the highest level of care available in the region. Community Regional Medical Center measures up with top hospitals nationally and is the 3rd largest in California! With 685 beds, we are home to the only comprehensive Burn and Level I Trauma center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. The 56,000 square-foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in California! We have an 84-bed Level III NICU and plan to significantly expand pediatric specialty care. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. We're affiliated with UCSF as a teaching facility; trained 3,000 Medical Doctor's to date plus continuous invests in research and training grants.

The Manager, Unit (RN) is accountable for the direction, supervision and evaluation of patient care performed by nursing personnel within their assigned service setting in accordance with established goals. Responsible for unit operation, scheduling, position control, staffing and coordination of the quality improvement process. Applies advanced, broad-based knowledge of nursing practice and theory as well as advanced knowledge of techniques of supervision, management, and leadership as applied to specific nursing responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

MINIMUM REQUIRED: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing or successful completion of sufficient units in nursing to qualify for state licensure. Demonstrated expertise in the service area and leadership ability. Approximately three to five years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting. Previous leadership experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting.

For Pediatric Unit Manager

  1. Master’s degree in Nursing or

  2. Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing and

  3. At least three years of clinical nursing experience of which at least two years are in pediatric clinical care.

For Pediatric ICU Unit Manager

  1. Master’s degree in Nursing or

  2. Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing and either

  3. Master’s degree in a related field or

  4. Certificate in Nursing or Health Care Administration from a nationally recognized accrediting organization; and

  5. At least three years of clinical nursing experience of which at least one year must be in pediatric critical care nursing.

For Neonatal ICU Unit Manager

  1. Master’s degree in Nursing or

  2. Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing and either

  3. Master’s degree in a related field or

  4. Certificate in Nursing or Health Care Administration from a nationally recognized accrediting organization; and

  5. At least three years of clinical nursing experience of which at least one year must be in a NICU facility that is equivalent to Regional or Community NICU.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current California Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Pediatrics and PICU.
