Aerotek Medical Laboratory Technician in Frederick, Maryland
Aerotek’s client is currently hiring for a Medical Laboratory Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience to perform laboratory procedures in a timely and accurate manner according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures
The Medical Laboratory Technician will perform functional duties in the Pre-Analytic, Analytic, and Post-Analytic phases in the Laboratory Path of Workflow.
May be required to share responsibility to delegate work assignments for self and co-workers in the absence of supervisor or lead. Must comply with the CLIA standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
MUST have completion of a Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of a Medical Technology program which is accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and
Accreditation (CAHEA), or Bachelor’s of Science degree in a laboratory related science such as Biology or Chemistry and equivalent training, education, and experience (such as military)
Must have 1 year of full-time clinical laboratory experience
Working knowledge of general types of laboratory equipment (centrifuge, microscope, etc.) keyboard, LIS, calculators, fax, auto analyzers
