About the position:

In this role with Robert Half Accountemps, you will help scope, plan, and execute a variety of client engagements. Our projects range from interim staff needs to tackling the most recent business challenges of our clients. Examples would be system integrations, mergers, process improves, reporting and adaption of funding or business changes related to COIVD19.

As full-time members of our practice, Salaried Professionals are expected to participate in 'Practice' activities such as professional networking and assisting our business development staff to stay abreast of industry trends and new business opportunities, with their assigned clients. Additional compensation is available for assistance in developing new projects! Salaried Professionals must yearn to be specialists in their accounting/finance abilities and enjoy solving problems and learning new skills.

During these projects you could be responsible for a variety of task, such as:

• Invoices preparation

• Review and approval of Cash

• Preparation of Bank Deposits

• Charge Backs and Credit Memos

• Revenue Management

• Review of customer returns - daily

• Cash Applications and/or Posting Cash

• Vendor Contact – Invoice follow up, Commercial Collections

• Preparation of JE

• Aging Reports

• Month End Close experience:

• Posting & Reconciling AR to the GL

• Ad Hoc reporting

• Check Request Approval

• Payroll Processing

• Critical thinking and problem solving

• Project management

Requirements

Major responsibilities

  • Maintain intricate journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

  • Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

  • Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision

  • Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management

  • Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable manner

  • Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed

  • Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

  • Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

  • Organize capital lease and monthly payment schedules

  • Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance wit- Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

  • Competent with spreadsheets and databases

  • Foundational knowledge in Excel Formulas

  • Pivot Table experience highly preferred

  • Month end closings experience desired

  • Oracle experience

  • Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Adeptness in dynamics

  • Practical knowledge of bank reconciliations

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP

  • General familiarity with account reconciliation

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

  • Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

  • Recent and relevant accounting experience

  • Efficient in ERP systems
