Project Engineer, Bell-360 Test & Evaluation

The Project Engineer reports to the IPT Leader of the Bell-360 Test & Evaluation IPT and is responsible for planning and managing activities relevant to flight test, component structural test, instrumentation, calibration and aircraft maintenance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support all disciplines in the Test and Evaluation IPT with project management duties

  • Financial Control Account Manager and/or Work Package Leader for test & evaluation scope of work

  • Coordinate procurement activities with supply chain management

  • Coordinate fabrication and assembly activities with internal and/or external fabrication centers

  • Manage and control cost, schedule, resources, risks and contingency plans, and deliverables of assigned Test and Evaluation projects

  • Responsible for preparing and presenting technical performance, cost, and schedule material for major reviews to program management

  • Generate project plans, test requests and status reports

  • Communicate test and evaluation status across peer IPTs and program management

  • Drive execution of assigned project teams

Qualifications

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering or related technical discipline

Position Requirements:

  • Experience at all levels will be considered with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace with a background in Design Engineering, Fabrication, Test and/or Maintenance

  • Experience planning, budgeting and managing integrated product team activities

  • Ability to communicate across engineering, manufacturing, maintenance and finance disciplines

  • Strong project management and communication skills

  • Capable of driving activities in an economically creative way

  • Experience using MS Project, Primavera, or similar cost & schedule management tools
