SAIC Cyber Operations Specialist Principal in FORT MEADE, Maryland
SAIC is seeking a Cyberspace Operations Specialist with an active TS/SCI to support our Ft. Meade Customer.
The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert with a primary focus on offensive cyberspace operations tools, techniques, procedures (TTP), course of action (COA) development, weaponeering, and capability gap identification. A thorough understanding of how to employ operational cyber capabilities is required. The ability to translate complex, technical aspects of cyberspace operations for technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in both written and briefed products is equally essential.
Strong verbal and written communications skills including the ability to brief flag officers and compose highly technical analytical products. This also includes the ability to translate complex, technical aspects of cyber into clear, concise language for both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
Daily responsibilities may include :
Serving as a subject matter expert with a primary focus onoffensive cyberspace operations TTPs, line-of-effort and course-of-actiondevelopment, weaponeering and capability gap identification.
Activing in a multi-faceted role, which includes the need for abasic understanding of analysis and operations planning.
Exhibiting an understanding of how to employ cyber modelling andsimulation techniques is desired.
Reviewing finished intelligence products and extract valuabletargeting and system information.
Researching and explaining various types of networking protocolsand articulate their functionality.
Performing vulnerability assessments on various system frameworks.
Understanding how networks are comprised and analyze network datain an effort to discover network vulnerabilities.
Understanding complex business and information technologymanagement processes.
Assisting in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methodsand tools to support service offering or industry projects.
Generating innovative ideas and challenge the status quo.
Building and nurturing a positive working relationships withclients with the intention to exceed client expectations.
Understanding clients' business environment and missionobjectives.
REQUIREDEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum ofnine (9) years of experience with a Bachelors or seven (7) years of experience witha Masters; Additional years of experience with a technical Associates may beconsidered.
Advanced knowledge of OCO/DCO, vulnerability assessments and penetrationtesting using manual testing techniques, scripts, commercial and open sourcetools
Experience inexploiting vulnerabilities in complex networks
Experience withnetwork reconnaissance and open source intelligence (OSINT) gathering
Experience withindustry standards to include OWASP, NIST, and IEEE. - Experience with wirelesspenetration testing
Ability to readand analyze network packet captures
Experience withnetwork security to include; firewall, router, and switch security Knowledge ofsecurity best practices: NIST, CIS, Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, Microsoft,Unix/Linux, etc.
Knowledge ofsecurity auditing techniques
Knowledge ofcomputer control environment
Familiarity withquerying and handling SIGINT
