Summary About the Position:The Knowledge Management Analyst (KMA) implements Knowledge Management initiatives throughout the organizations. Responsibilities As a Knowledge Management Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Assist in supporting organizations in applying knowledge management principles and best practices. Implement strategies to enhance explicit and implicit knowledge production. Develop and implement knowledge policy and program guidance. Prepare and present briefings, plans, and reports explaining technical and operational issues regarding Knowledge Management. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) conducting knowledge management (KM) assessments 2) designing templates/formats for computerized knowledge management (KM) products 3) identifying knowledge management (KM) initiatives; and 4) training users on a knowledge management (KM) system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsEnterprise ArchitectureKnowledge ManagementOrganizational Performance Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). *All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the minimum qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
