DescriptionPOSITION PURPOSEThis position is responsible for the ongoing management of global compensationprograms, including executive compensation, variable pay programs andequity programs. At its core, this role will ensure Woodward'scompensation programs drive strong alignment with our business objectives. TheCompensation Programs Manager is primarily responsible for ownership of themarket-based compensation programs for the entire Company. This includes bothbase/fixed pay and variable pay programs. This role will partner closelywith business group HR leaders to ensure strong alignment between design anddelivery of the respective programs. Additionally, this position will beresponsible for ongoing continuous improvement of our processes and standardwork relating to compensation programs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSLeads the enterprise-wide market pay process. Establishes, maintains andimproves standards in the following areas: compensation surveys, positionmatching, data analysis, salary structure development, incumbentanalysis, affordability rates and salary planningManages the administration of all broad-based and executive compensationprograms, including salary planning, stock option grants, andperformance-based compensation quarterly activityAdvances industry best practices regarding innovations to our broad-based andexecutive compensation plans and programsContributes to formulating and establishing the function's strategic plan,policies and operating proceduresLeads the annual market pricing process. Collaborates with externalcompensation consultants to ensure coordination of timely and accurate marketdataLeads the enterprise-wide salary planning process. Ensures guidelines andtools lead to consistent and equitable pay treatment and promote apay-for-performance cultureKey contributor to proxy executive compensation tables and CDandA; providescompensation related data and analysis as neededDrives salary planning rate modeling for the enterprise-wide budget.Responsible for oversight and preparation of all budgeting related tocompensation plans and programsLeads the annual cadence of stock option grants and manages stock optionadministration in E*TRADEOversees and drives continuous improvement in the administration of the short-and long-term incentive programsSupports and interfaces with the Global HR team to ensure overallunderstanding of compensation philosophy and strategy as well as rolemanagement/job code standardizationLiaises with finance and legal teams for executive compensation plan mattersEnsures appropriate and effective compensation auditing internal controls arein place and adhered toOTHER FUNCTIONSMentors compensation analysts in order to further develop subject matterexpertise in executive compensationParticipates in and may lead global projectsProvides market pay compensation process training to Business Group HR andleaders as appropriateMay prepare and present information to the CEO, Executive Staff and Board ofDirectorsDevelops strong relationships with our external business partners andconsultantsQualificationsKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIESAbility to demonstrate strong knowledge of market-based compensationsystems, including both base and variable pay componentsDemonstrated solid knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements forbroad-based and executive compensation plans, including 409AAbility to exhibit solid ability in the areas of executive compensationanalysis and plan administrationStrong aptitude for and experience with automating processesAbility to demonstrate strong project management skillsDemonstrated strong client focus and customer service orientationSolid collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively in a team-based environment...
