US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.

Candidate will join a dedicated team of networking professionals that operate and maintain the US BICES network to the DISA STIG standards. Team responsible a wide variety of technologies and manufacturer hardware.


  • Assign, prioritize, and track to completion Enterprise Network Ops tasks

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to Network Ops teams.

  • Provide recommendations for updates to Approved Products List (APL) & Preferred Purchase List (PPL)

  • Develop and maintain life cycle replacement schedule for all VoIP, VTC, and network infrastructure devices to be added into annual CERP Plan

  • Manage, supervise, mentor and coach the US BICES-X Enterprise network team. Perform hiring actions, budgeting, and performance reviews for personnel.

  • Update, maintain, and enforce compliance


  • Network infrastructure baseline operating systems (routers, switches, IP encryptors, WAN optimizers, Voice over IP (VoIP), Video Teleconferencing (VTC), and Identity Services Engine (ISE)

  • Configuration baseline standardization templates

  • IP Addressing

  • VoIP numbering

  • Network diagrams

  • Update and maintain Cisco Unified Communications (UC) Licensing Enterprise wide

  • Provide compliance status metrics showing progress.

  • Update and maintain Network Ops statistical dashboards

  • Generate ad-hoc statistical reports from available reporting tools.

  • Draw network topologies as required for configuration management, engineering, and operations support documentation.

  • Coordinate with Engineering team to smooth transitions into the production environment

  • Coordinate with other Portfolio Managers to reserve required manpower resources

  • Identify repetitive Network Ops tasks to automate

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Cisco and/or Juniper route/switch knowledge is required.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of network administration required.

  • Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation and IAM level II (CASP+ or equivalent) access for positions with elevated privileges within six months of hire.

  • CCNP

  • Must have current advanced knowledge of routers, switches, IP encryptors, Cisco VoIP/VTC, Network security, WAN Optimization, Network Management

  • Experience with Network Operations tools: Solarwinds, Splunk, et al

  • Additional specific certifications may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience of Network Automation using tools such as Ansible playbooks, templates, and python scripting.

  • JNCIA Juniper JUNOS a strong plus

  • Riverbed RCSA a strong plus

  • Scripting (Powershell, Python, REGEX, SQL queries)

  • Microsoft Visio

This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide

The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment
