Job Description

Job Summary:We're hiring an International Sales Director to manage our Latin American (LATAM) territory which includes Mexico, South America, Caribbean, and Central America. The Director of Sales for LATAM will lead salesforce productivity across core markets for FLIR; most notably Energy, Heavy Industrial, Critical Infrastructure, Security, and Public Safety segments. The position will be responsible for developing long-term Key Account Management strategies to sustainably grow revenue with our most important client accounts across the region. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director of Sales for LATAM will also be responsible for working closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives that will deliver consistent, profitable, and organic revenue growth to the company. The ability to acquire, evaluate, and analyze information from a wide variety of sources will also be critical. Writing and thinking skills that integrate and distill this information into well supported conclusions and strategic recommendations will determine the success of this role.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead FLIR sales growth by building conducive business and organizational strategies that enable sales professionals to aggressively pursue new opportunities and cultivate expanded sales within existing direct and partner-led accounts.

  • Develop sales processes to ensure Key Account Management teams are proficient in establishing a complete understanding of our top client account’s needs.

  • Advance our existing account planning processes and implement closed-loop improvement cycles to ensure we maximize the value delivered to top client accounts on a consistent basis.

  • Oversee talent management within the organization and develop the required skills for Key Account Management teams throughout LATAM.

  • Direct and control the sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes.

  • Promote strong collaboration with the Channel Partner network to ensure the existing channel is effectively supported at selling into the core Industrial & Security segments.

  • Support the equitable assignment of sales quotas and ensures targets are optimally allocated to drive profitable and organic growth.

  • Communicate and track financial key performance indicators (KPI’s) to stakeholders with Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Operations.

  • Implement standards for maintaining CRM data and ensure compliance across the organization.

  • Assist Business Development and Product Management in defining feature requirements for hardware and software products necessary to maintain and grow market share.

  • Support Sales Enablement initiatives around sales training and onboarding program to accelerate the readiness of new hires.

Job Qualifications:

  • BS Degree required

  • 10+ years’ experience in direct or outside B2B sales

  • 3+ years’ experience in sales management across LATAM region

  • Sales and business experience across Central and South American markets

  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Spanish, and Portuguese

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a thorough understanding of a consultative sales process

  • Process mindset with an Enterprise selling approach to account management

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization in both written and verbal form

  • Strategic and analytical thinking with ability to examine all that needs to happen in order to put a plan into action

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong presentation skills required

This position requires access to export-controlled information or items (i.e. regulated technology or technical data per ITAR/EAR US regulations). Applicants must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
