About the College/Department

The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Arkansas sponsors 19 varsity sports programs (eight men’s and 11 women’s). These 19 programs include more than 460 student-athletes who participate in the various sports programs annually within the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA). As the only mascot of its kind in college athletics, the Arkansas Razorbacks, also known as Hogs, compete in the NCAA’s Division I (FBSin football) and are a current member of the Southeastern Conference in the Western Division. The mission of the Razorback Athletic Department is to assist in the development of student-athletes to their fullest potential through intercollegiate athletics.

Summary of Job Duties

The Assistant Football Equipment Manager assists with equipment operations for football. This position ensures football student-athletes are properly outfitted with functioning equipment; fiscal responsibility is employed in all aspects of equipment operations; and all University,NCAA, andSECregulations are followed.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Sports Management or related field

  • Athletic Equipment Managers’ Association (AEMA) certifiable within one year

  • At least two seasons of experience working with Division 1 football equipment operations (internships and graduate assistantships are applicable)

  • At least one year of experience working with Power Five football equipment operations (internships and graduate assistantships are applicable)

  • Experience operating CoachComm Tempo system

  • Experience operating CoachComm X system

  • Experience with developing and implementing policies, procedures, and internal controls
