Three Rivers Community Action, Inc. Public Transit Bus Drivers - Faribault/Northfield - PART-TIME in Faribault, Minnesota
For the Faribault/Northfield area, Hiawathaland Transit is seeking part-time Bus Drivers.
Start at $18.50/hour if you already have a Class C CDL and Passenger Endorsement (PE); otherwise, start at $17.50/hour. Will primarily drive in the Faribault/Northfield area, but may occasionally be assigned to another city/community.
Hiawathaland Public Transportation is administered by Three Rivers Community Action, Inc., a non-profit agency providing economic opportunities that strengthen individuals, families and communities in southeastern Minnesota.
Job offers are contingent on a reference check; a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review; a criminal background check with fingerprinting through the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS); and a pre-employment DOT drug test. Employees in this position are subject to random and reasonable suspicion DOT drug and alcohol testing throughout their employment.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
5+ years of driving experience preferred
Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate (“Med Card”) must be obtained prior to first day
Prefer Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement (and must be obtained within three months of employment); if no CDL, Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) must be obtained prior to first day of employment
Applicants without Class C CDL, Passenger Endorsement and 1.5+ years of professional driving experience will be hired as a DRIVER-IN-TRAINING at $17.50/hour. Once hired, employee will need to obtain Class C CDL & Passenger Endorsement, complete required training, demonstrate safe & proficient skills, and be deemed competent in order to be promoted to BUS DRIVER position (with increase to $18.50/hour). Failure to be qualified for promotion in approximately 90 days will result in termination of employment
