The PowerApps Platform team is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Operations Client Team

Microsoft is making a huge R&D investment in the platform and applications business. As a pivotal part of this drive for the Business Cloud, we’re building out capabilities to create and evolve large cloud-native applications to unleash the potential of the Microsoft Cloud. A key component to this evolution is in our web-based client that is the entry point for our multiple Microsoft Office product integrations.

Our engineering teams are responsible from feature inception through production and ultimately customer satisfaction. We operate on an agile delivery model with frequent product releases, fast customer uptake and feedback loops. Our success is based on quality designs, relevant scenarios and successful engineering and releases.

You will be a driving factor in each part of the software development life cycle. From product definition through prototyping and scoping, iterative development, measuring and enhancing quality, rolling out to customers and supporting them with early releases, soliciting feedback and constant improvement.

These capabilities must also scale out to support active usage around the world by thousands of customers 24x7. You will be expected to work collaboratively within the team and provide technical oversight to feature crews, work through competing priorities, and solve complex technical challenges to meet business goals and maintain live site availability.

Basic qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development

  • 5+ years of solid experience in an OO Language like C# or Java

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent or 5+ years of industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ Experience with HTML5, JavaScript

  • Experience with TypeScript, front-end technologies like Redux/React and upcoming web technologies is a plus

  • Experience building applications on the Azure platform is a plus
