VIVA USA Inc Manufacturing Engineering Technician in Fargo, North Dakota

Req Ref No: JNNDME71 Location: Fargo, ND Duration: 12.0 months Description Description: Provides support for and/or assistance with products or engineering processes. Technicians at this level typically perform appropriate tests using existing procedures for process control and failure analysis Provides routine analysis for materials manufacturing process and methods assist with problem identification and resolution root cause analysis corrective action tracking reliability analysis and verification/validation test plan development. Provides guidance on test procedures to engineers and support personnel. Requires knowledge and understanding of lab testing equipment and technologies. Duties: Operates and/or calibrates analytical equipment to perform a variety of routine chemical physical or metallurgical tests. Maintains production tooling system and completes shop orders to ensure that tooling is produced for production use. Monitors and participates in the implementation of improvements for cutting stamping welding machining and assembly processes. Maintains the dimensional control of purchased components through measurements with support of electronic three-dimensional or other instruments of similar precision. Creates manufacturing programs for Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines or others of similar nature. Maintains chemical concentrations in paint washers to ensure that painted parts meet desired specifications. Supports the metallurgy lab and assists the failure analysis process by cutting parts ordering supplies maintaining equipment performing paint tests and testing oil samples to ensure compliance to quality standards. Inputs communicates and/or maintains engineering change or other manufacturing information to the appropriate personnel and/or database. Position Qualifications: • REQUIRED EDUCATION: A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Assembly experience required. • REQUIRED SKILLS: 1. Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments and vendors 2. Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing 3. Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components 4. Knowledge of test equipment, e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc. 5. Understanding of trouble shooting methodologies to identify root cause 6. Ability to read basic engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams 7. Maintain necessary product records and documentation 8. Ability to comprehend product/process component datasheets 9. Ability to assemble and disassemble products • PREFERRED SKILLS: 1. Ability to solder Job Purpose: Work with design engineers on building test fixtures, debug circuitry and perform testing. Job Duties: 1. Schedule, coordinate, and assist with the assembly of Prototypes in accordance with established labor and quality standards with minimal supervision and guidance. 2. Maintain and monitor the schedule of incoming equipment required to build the prototypes. 3. Generate and analyze reports. Provide recommended actions that improve Safety, Quality, and Productivity. 4. Provide support and/or assistance to Manufacturing Engineers and Production as applicable in the main description. Specific Position Requirements No relocation available for this position. Position will sit on site. Required the client Safety PPE and shoes will be required as this position sits on production floor.
