The Senior Consultant will work on a number of projects related to health care quality measurement, including evaluation of variation in quality performance and the development, maintenance, testing, and implementation of quality measures. She/he will manage complex tasks steeped in quantitative and qualitative analysis and play a key role in the support of projects. In collaboration with current staff across the organization, the Senior Consultant will work to provide unparalleled client service, produce the highest quality deliverables, and innovate across the market.

In terms of execution, the Senior Consultant will build upon a successful track record of performance and a reputation for delivering desired results. S/he will foster a culture of accountability and high performance within communicated project timelines. S/he should have experience working in a clinical setting or with health care professionals and on developing and maintaining quality metrics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Health policy professional with 8+ years industry experience in health research analysis, evaluation and/or policy including strong analytic skills and advanced degree (M.D., D.O., masters degree, or Ph.D.) in medicine, economics, health policy research, or similar discipline

  • Broad understanding of federal or state health policy issues, with ability to work in multiple areas serving as a subject matter expert

  • Experience using the Blueprint for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Measures Management System, taking measures through the National Quality Forum consensus development process, and/or working on quality measure engagements, preferably for federal programs, including those at CMS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings to non-technical audiences

  • Highly motivated, with demonstrated success working as a team member in a fast-paced interdisciplinary environment
