Fortive Corporation Electrical Assembler in Fairport, New York

The Electronic Assembler, under minimum supervision, performs all assembly and tests necessary to complete all electronic products.

  • Performs final test on all assembled finished units, using test equipment such as storage oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters and ammeters.

  • Trouble shoots completed units and individual printed wire boards using Engineering specifications, Schematics, and Product Specifications.

  • Rotates in other work cells as directed by Supervisor or Cell Leader.

  • Packs finished product for shipment.

  • Actively participates in making cell improvements, suggests and helps implement.

  • Performs duties in accordance with established quality standards.

  • Maintains work area in accordance with established housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment.

  • Performs such similar or comparable related duties as may be required to ensure the production of quality products.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum one-year experience in electrical assembly

  • Proven manual dexterity and electro-mechanical aptitude

  • Positive work experience in a team environment

  • Ability to use various hand and power tools and equipment and to read measuring devices

  • Experience using computer keyboard

  • Proven attainment of quality standards

  • Process focused, experience working with one-piece work flow in daily work

  • Experience working from blueprints, engineering drawings, and customer orders

  • Excellent, proven attendance record

  • Plant environment.

  • Lifting up to 30 lbs. manually.

  • Safety glasses are required.

  • Standing is required for long periods of time.

  • Overtime may be required.
