The HR Director role is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives and driving HR functional excellence.

Successful candidates will demonstrate ability to:

  • Leads company compliance with all federal, state, and local labor and employment law issues and requirements. Maintains records. Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance. Approves all information submitted to agencies or other entities. Acts as primary contact with employment counsel and outside government agencies.

  • Support and execute the strategic direction of HR, including implementation of high-value added HR processes that support business goals and objectives

  • Formulate partnerships across the business to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization

  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.

  • Oversees resolution of employee issues that arise from employee performance concerns, leave matters, workplace dynamics, equal employment issues, etc. including conducting investigations and developing appropriate corrective actions.

  • Support the development of a work force strategy and collaborate with Talent Acquisition to translate strategy into an executable plan

  • Coach and mentor PMs and supervisors on HR best practices in a rapidly growing organization

  • Guide management and employee actions by developing and communicating HR guidelines, and fostering inclusive organizational values

  • Compiles annual reporting requirements, including the EEO-1, Vets-100, and the development of the annual Affirmative Action Plan.

  • Ensures all record keeping with regards to worker's compensation, unemployment, health and medical insurance and other state and government regulations is completed as required.

  • Manages organizational change. Develops and implements workforce plans. Proactively plans for hiring critical talent and devises strategies to shape workforce. Influences and drives key hiring decisions

  • Partners with management team to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.

  • Oversees the maintenance and accuracy of HRIS/ATS system (iCIMS a plus) employee records and personnel actions.

  • Responsible for employee life-cycle management; organizational on-boarding and out-processing.

  • Guide management and employee actions by developing and communicating HR guidelines, and fostering inclusive organizational values

  • Serves as a functional expert in support of benefits administrative design, including present recommendations for changes and enhancements. Evaluates benefit program options, services & coverage.

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including complex, multi-state environments. Current or previous experience as a HR Manager/Director in a large (250-500+ employee) Information Technology firm (Government contracting sector)

  • Must have experience with paperless Human Resources and auditing

  • Knowledgeable about federal and state labor laws and regulations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be well-organized and detail-oriented

  • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization

  • Bachelor’s degree required, (Masters’ preferred) in Business Administration, HR Management, Organizational Development or other related field strongly preferred

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred

  • Secret clearance required, (Top Secret) security clearance a plus (not required)
