SciTec Systems Engineer in Fairborn, Ohio

SciTec, Inc. is a dynamic small business with the mission to deliver advanced sensor data processing technologies and scientific instrumentation capabilities in support of National Security and Defense. We support customers throughout the Department of Defense and U.S. Government in building innovative new tools to deliver unique, world-class data exploitation capabilities.

SciTec is seeking a Systems Engineer to support development projects throughout the company. The primary work location will be our Fairborn, OH office. The position will entail occasional travel to other SciTec corporate offices and customer facilities.

As a Systems Engineer at SciTec, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Interacting with SciTec development teams, external vendors, and customers to support the design and integration of complex software and hardware systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical to this position.

  • Generating and maintaining SysML models of software and hardware systems to support analysis and systems design activities.

  • Using SysML tools to analyze the technical design of systems and verifying system compliance with customer requirements.

  • Analyzing systems models and system documentation provided by external customers and vendors to support systems modeling and to provide integration guidance to SciTec development teams.

  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for systems engineering process improvements

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the position:

  • Bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science

  • One year of professional or academic experience with the application of Model Based Systems Engineering

  • Must have an active SECRET DoD or DoE security clearance

Candidates who have any of the following qualifications will be preferred:

  • Graduate degrees or coursework in Systems Engineering or related field

  • More than one year of experience with the application of Model Based Systems Engineering

  • Experience with the MagicDraw suite of modeling software

  • Domain experience in remote sensing systems or software architecture

  • Experience in the application of Agile software development methods

  • Active TOP SECRET//SCI clearances
