Refresco Ingredients Technician in Evansville, Indiana
Description
Essential Functions:
Assist in the safe, efficient and responsible operation of Refresco in its mission to produce safe and legal products.
Initiate and record actions to support the Food Safety Management System.
Assist scheduling of when products are staged and batched.
Assist in training as needed.
Assist planning and daily activities of processors with Processing Manager.
Ensure that all ingredients and batches conform to specifications before use.
Communicate between shifts to coordinate production schedule.
Assist in troubleshooting any issues.
Assist in planning the following shifts work load schedule.
Ensure adherence to all GMP's by all employees.
Maintain inventory control system as well as performing any training needed to subordinates.
Verification of all ingredient receipts.
Entering of all ingredient receipts into the inventory control system.
Conducts all ingredient end of run inventory cycle counts.
Conducts all ingredient inventory periodic cycle counts.
Conducts all end of year inventory of ingredients.
Reports all ingredient shortages prior to any given order vs scheduled orders to Supply Chain and Processing Department Managers.
Creates and issues all ingredients to production orders based on scheduled orders.
Exceptions are the bulk waters, sugars, and alcohols.
Ensures FIFO procedures are followed through the department.
Maintains and controls all refrigerated ingredient integrities via cooler and or refrigerated trailers.
Create SAP purchase orders for all ingredients stored at the outside warehouse.
Set up delivery requests to outside warehouses to ensure timely receipts of needed ingredients to meet production schedule for products.
Monitor all ingredients stored at outside warehouse for aging as well as correct quantities.
Ordering of ingredients and other batching necessities as needed.
Assist other departments as needed to insure product integrity throughout the run.
Work with Customer Service and QC on any ingredient related issues.
Ensure sanitation of all equipment before use.
Assist in continuously improving processes.
Backup Lab Technician and Syrup Batcher when needed.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of ISO22000, GMP, FDA, TTB, and IOSHA standards and regulations.
