If you are an enthusiastic, self-starter, eager to learn in a dynamic environment, come join our team as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager. You will have the pleasure of leading and developing a team of Manufacturing Engineers that are responsible for the design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. You will be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Summary of Key Duties for this position:

• You will own the design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.

• Monitor the design sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.

• You will lead the adaption of machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

• May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.

• Oversees the inspection of performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.

• Runs the development of manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.

• You will provide mentorship to manufacturing engineers regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

• Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Typical Experience:

Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Strong manufacturing and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing background.

• Capable of reading, interpreting and fully understanding engineering drawings.

• Familiar with composites and metallic machining, chemical processing, and paint coatings.

• Experience supervising hourly technicians and salaried personnel.

• Proven experience communicating/briefing managers, employees, and customers to maintain a balanced working relationship.

• Understanding of Earned Value Management Metrics (EVM).

• Strong Full Spectrum Leadership skills.

Desired Skills:

• Experience supervising hourly technicians and salaried personnel.

• Understanding of EVM metrics.

• Demonstrate a proven record of high performance, with the ability to accept responsibility, exercise authority and be held accountable for assigned tasks and actions.

• Basic knowledge of MRP and Manufacturing tasks, Metallic and composites manufacturing machining and structural and mechanism assembly.

• Computer skills including MS Office software, SAP, VE-CAMS.
