DISH Category Manager - Smart Home Services (Security and Wireless) in Englewood, Colorado

This position will have direct involvement on the product strategy and roadmap for all offerings available across several sales channels. These are D2C sales channels that include websales, in-home technician sales and call center. This candidate will be nimble and flexible as they act as a main point of contact with numerous vendor relationships. In parallel she will work with several, cross-functional teams to execute new initiatives based on the strategic roadmap for the business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with consumer products and be inspired in finding the latest technologies that focus on connecting devices for consumers in the home.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the P&L for this category including revenue, growth and profitability.

  • Manage the offering for this category including pricing, products, bundles and promotions

  • Works with operations teams on go-to-market roll-outs updates to current offerings

  • Work closely with vendor partners to make your category successful, including negotiating new terms and aligning on promotional / sales strategies.

  • Have a clear understanding of targeted customer segments and identify offerings that will provide products / services that will align with the needs of those segments.

  • Manage and coordinate business reviews with partners and internal teams to evaluate current performance and strategy discussions.

  • Strong influencer to both executives and peers as they articulate the product strategy and goals with the overall product portfolio.

  • Partner with appropriate Finance teams to understand the category P & L for each offering within the sales channels.

  • Utilize feedback from sales channel owners to improve revenue and profitability.

  • Ability to manage products and vendors through the various stages of the product lifecycle.

A successful Category Manager will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.

  • Has vendor management and contract negotiation experience with consumer products.

  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization.

  • Experience with tools such and Excel and Tableau to understand product performance and conversion within each sales channel.

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales Channel owners, Finance, and various central ops teams.

  • Excellent organization and time-management skills; results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible

  • Self-starter with ability to be strong team player and work independently in a fast-paced environment

    Compensation: $64,800.00/Yr. - $89,400.00/Yr.
