We are currently seeking our newest innovator to join our dynamic team as a Senior Consumer Insights Manager on the MarketingTeam!
The Consumer Insights Senior Manager is responsible for leading market research activities in support of the US Home Appliance Marketing team. The Senior Manager will develop market research plans to support business objectives, manage the design & execution of primary market research projects with third party providers, and leverage a variety of secondary sources to create clear insights and actionable recommendations that guide marketing strategies. They will also advise the business unit and senior leaders on the voice-of-the consumer, bringing the consumer perspective into cross-functional meetings & key decisions.
This role requires the individual to understand the business units' objectives & issues, then develop & lead a comprehensive research plan that utilizes the best sources and methodologies to address those objectives & issues. Additionally, the Senior Manager is expected to be proficient in more complex studies (e.g. Brand Positioning, Marketing Mix Modeling) and identify opportunities to improve upon existing research methodologies.
Senior Manager has latitude to explore options and identify new methods and/or propose new recommendations.
Majority of the impact is in support of the US Home Appliance Marketing department. The role also impacts other Marketing functions (e.g. Digital Transformation - DXP, Global Marketing Center), Product Planning, Go-To-Market & Sales.
Senior Manager will have continuous communication with the Home Appliance Marketing team via emails, team meetings, and 1:1 conversations. The Senior Manager will have frequent communication via email and 1:1 conversation with the Senior Director, Consumer Insights/Marketing Intelligence, and will have occasional interactions with senior leadership - VP Marketing, North American CEO and Business Unit Lead via meetings. They will collaborate with internal teams to implement insights 'best practices' - understand issues, opportunities, strategies & provide thought leadership.
Employee will work individually, but collaborates with multiple teams (Consumer Insights, Marketing, third party research vendors)
Identify insights to develop a new brand positioning that will increase differentiation and drive stronger brand relevance
Senior Manager should be knowledgeable and experienced with an array of qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies. The Senior Manager should be able to synthesize disparate data from custom research, secondary research, 1P customer data & a mix of other sources to uncover insights, create a story to drive insights into action, and provide recommendations. They should be skilled at communicating research findings to internal clients and socializing research to ensure learnings will be used throughout the organization.
Senior Manager will provide consultancy to US Marketing and the US Business Unit Lead. This insight will inform long-term marketing strategy and day-to-day decision making.
Senior Manager will propose a research plan and project priorities, but will gain alignment with the Senior Director of Home Appliance Marketing.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required
Minimum of 10 years experience is required
Primary market research experience is required Advanced Analytics experience is preferred
Experience with Google Analytics & an understanding of various tools & platforms within the MarTech ecosystem is preferred.
