U.S. Coast Guard Trades Helper, WG-4749-05 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina
This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Maintenance Branch of the Facilities Engineering Division, Base Elizabeth City, Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a trade's helper and as a secondary duty serves as a tractor operator.Followed with bullets: Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.Typical work assignments include: Assisting more senior workers by performing the simpler and more routine duties of the trade and working with the journey worker as instructed.
Operating grass cutting mowers and smaller tractors with attached equipment to maintain grounds.
Performing operator maintenance on tractors and equipment.
Maintaining a safe and clean work area.
Cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining the tools, equipment and supplies.
Frequently lifting and carrying parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Conditions of Employment
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Applicant is required to meet the physical requirements of the position.
The position requires a valid state driver's license.
